Sweet potatoes are a staple in our bodybuilding diet. They are easy to make and you can cook them in bulk to save time during the busy workweek when meal prepping.
Below you will find three recipes to help keep your meals exciting while still being healthy!
Nutritional Facts
Serving Size: 1 Medium Sized Potato (5 oz.)
Calories: 100
Fat: 0.2 grams
Carbs: 23 grams
Protein: 2 grams
Cooking Instructions
Ingredients:
Sweet Potatoes
Salt
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Cinnamon
Organic Stevia
Cayenne - Optional
Old El Paso- Fajita Seasoning Mix
Instructions:
Baked Sweet Potatoes
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Wash all potatoes.
Make 3 – 4 puncture holes in each potato.
Place potatoes on a cooking sheet.
Bake for 45 minutes (Time will vary depending on how many potatoes you are baking at once).
Remove potatos from the oven.
Cut potatoes in half.
Spread a small amount of organic stevia and cinnamon as seasoning and enjoy!
Mashed Sweet Potatoes
Fill a large pan with water.
Place oven burner on high.
Cook for 20 – 25 minutes or until potatoes start to get soft or breakdown in the water.
Drain water from the pan.
Transfer potatoes to a bowl or container.
Use a fork to mash the potatoes.
Mix in the Fajita Seasoning mix and enjoy!
Sweet Potato Fries
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Peel potatoes and then cut them into the size fries you would like.
Place fries on a baking sheet.
Drizzle a bit of extra virgin olive oil over the fries and mix them around with your hands.
Cook for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes remove fries from the oven and flip them over.
Place fries back in the oven for 10 minutes.
Removed fries from oven and add organic stevia and cinnamon.
Place fries on a plate and enjoy!
NOTE: For softer fries cook for 20 minutes, for crispier fries cook for 24 minutes.
Now you have no excuses to not eat healthy and reach your goals! Just remember to cook in bulk to save time in the kitchen! #HTH

I've baked them, refrigerated them and put them in protein shakes. Like a sweet potato pie in a glass. I can also see the mashed spuds added to a porridge of oatmeal, quinoa or other grains as can be done with pumpkin.
They're also good sliced and put on the grill.
Easier if you cook them first :). The Vitamix has becaome a good friend.
Sounds like you have done it all! haha... haven't tried putting in protein shake yet!
