Since my biceps and chest have grown recently (awesone!) I've gotten some stretch marks (like a woman who's given birth......) on the inside of my upper biceps.  It's kind of gross, sorry.

Anyone know how to minimize or get rid of them or how to prevent getting more in the future?

Thanks,

Nathan

Been working out for about 6 months as of Oct. 2013, had good results with Scott's advice. Not much of a credential, really...haha.

Hey man!
Those stretch marks indicate that you fought the weights and won! They are warrior scars and you should be proud of them. Having said that, theres not much to do to fix them. Surgery will get rid of them but you re probably looking for less drastic ways.

- I imagine they are of the colour pink red or purple by now. If you give it time they will turn to white and wont be very noticeable.
- Getting a tan might help, but it will only mask them.
- Applying hydration cremes will help for sure. I m not sure if they will go away, but it will probably prevent formation of new ones.
- They formed because your skin couldnt bare the sudden increase of mass underneath it, so perhaps if you lose some fat from the area and give the skin some time it will regenerate new cells and this might fix the situation.

Generally though, they dont really go away. Your genetics determine how elastic your skin is and consequently...if you are gonna get stretch marks :)

It's all good bro. I have stretch marks on both of my biceps as well. You cant really notice them unless you are just trying to. I would agree with Kostas. Getting a tan should help and over time they should dissapear.

Yeah, I've done a little more digging and you guys are right, cocoa butter is supposed to help prevent them, but once they're there, they're there and there's not much you can do short of surgery.  it's cool I guess.  Even with the stretch marks, I look a hell of a lot better than I did before starting to work out in April.

Thanks guys,

Nathan

Take it from somebody who has had kids ! Vitamin E and co co butter ...vitamin c works wonders for the skin ! Lemon is also a natural remidy known to help fade acne scars which also help on the marks . While they probably won't go away all together they will deffinitly deminish with daily application these things.
