Dwayne The Rock Johnson Shoulder Workout

Johnson hits the gym six days per week, usually focusing on one body part per day. At 40, he's a seasoned, instinctive trainer. "I go by feel," he says, and notes that when he's in the gym it's all business. "I have my headphones on. I'm listening to

Damn, I like this routine. I'm all about the high volume routines and lifting till failure. I never really do more than 4-5 lifts though I do the Arnold press, lateral raise, bent over raise and heavy shrugs in my normal routine.

I can tell you that you will see major strengtha and size gains with this routine but make sure you finish each set! If you fail at rep 9 just drop the weight immediately by 5 lbs and finish your rep count.

remember #HTH!

Lovely workout but I still have to protect the young people watching this stuff. This is a very high volume routine and it is not for the beginner or the intermediate. In fact, one or two compound movements for your shoulder is all you need. Keep in mind that most of these people get into shape with chemical enchancements and they are able to recover from those high volume routines so they benefit greatly from them. If you do similar workouts for chest and legs and back during the same week your nervous system will be fried and you accumulate a great deal of metabolic fatigue. If you have been lifting for a long time though, this will definitely challenge you and will bring on some new growth! #HTH

I agree.. That is why I hate steroid users who try to say they are natural. When using steroids and other drugs you can hit the gym A LOT harder and recover A LOT faster.

But this workout seems pretty legit and like something I would do. Definitely worth a go! I like The Rock. he seems like a chill dude

This seems like something the Rock might actually do, but I found that you have to be careful with routines that people say they do that are stars. Meaning, you can't always believe what they say they do. I found that a few stars' routines that are put in magazines are very light compared to what they actually do. The Rock trains for HOURS a day and the other hours he eats, sleeps, and acts. I would guess he pairs shoulders with something else, like back...so this is really maybe only HALF of his routine for the day. But this...THIS looks like something I want to do since I combine upper back with shoulders. Thanks for the post!

Damn dude I had no idea they filmed him working out. It kind of bugs me he didn't do the full ROM on the shoulder press but can't argue with those traps i guess.

Thanks for posting it up :)

OH! and that's another thing, why didn't the rocks video get taken down for the copyright BS. I bet Godsmack would be pissed if it was me that made a workout video with their jams in the background . Am i right?

This video is definitely not his current routine....I'm more interested in what he does for his routine for Hercules now...watching his progress the past 6-8 months has been CRAZY compared to other transformations!
