I'm doing the 12 week push pull program but to do some injury and complicated schedule i had to skip the past 4 days. Can I resume the program at its current stage to still get my needed results or do i need to work back and catch up.

It's probably OK to just resume the program at week two. If you do want to try and catch up though, you can do workouts on your circuit days as well. Just make sure you do the circuit AND the workout. Probably the workout before the circuit as well so you have maximum energy for your lifts :-)

Also, a question like this would be better posted in the comment section on the 12 week workouts page.

Hey @rob1993!

First off, make sure you post this in a more relatable thread - maybe supplements for your shake question for example.

What you need to know about protein first off is that you should only be taking it if you need if to fill in gaps that you can't hit with your real food. So have you calculated what you're getting at the moment? You can use the calculater on the @mealplan page if you need it.

If you want to lose fat, you need to be in a calorie deficit. The @mealplan page will help you there.

If you want to gain muscle and lose fat, the Push, Pull, Legs split would be the best of the 12 week programs for you. Circuits to help burn calories and lose fat, and frequency to build muscle. Let me know what you think!

Hi!

I have two questions.

I was wondering about what is the best way to integrate HIIT into my workout schedule. How many times a week should I do HIIT? If I go to the gym, say, 3 times a week should I do HIIT on the days in between, at the end of my weight training?

What is your opinion on "bulking" and "cutting" and whether these bulk/cut cycles are necessary to build muscle? I see a lot of people saying that they are necessary because in order to build muscle you need to be in a caloric surplus and to lose fat you need to be in a caloric deficit. But I saw Athlean X make a video saying that it's not actually necessary, as you just need to be eating a lot of protein. I'm not into the idea of intentionally putting on fat in order to build muscle, so what is your take on whether or not it's possible to stay lean why building muscle?

I've been training for 7 months now and I've honestly been seeing amazing results, both in terms of fat loss and muscle gain, and a lot of it is thanks to your videos, keep up the amazing content!

Was at my local Supplement store and the guy there was telling me that the body can only absorb so much protein at once. Trying to say something like 45g is to much at once. True or False?

Hey @Thomazo!

If you are only weight training 3 days a week, it would be OK to do HIIT on 2 or 3 of the days you don't weight train. No need to do them on the days you weight train unless you are cutting.

If you want to build muscle, you need to be in a surplus of calories. But that doesn't mean you have to go and pig out all day every day and gain 50lbs of fat. You want to do a lean bulk. A small surplus, but one that is big enough to see you gaining weight consistently.

Watch the video below so you can learn how to bulk properly :-)
