Hey @Umrdemp.

Eating 50-100g carbs will help you lose fat, but that kind of diet isn't sustainable in the long run. Your body needs carbs to function properly.

180g carbs isn't much at all. When trying to lose weight/fat, aiming for 1g carbs per lb of lean body weight is a pretty good target. So if your lean weight is 172lbs, 180g is about right. You can cut down to maybe 150g-170g, but I wouldn't go much lower than that for now.

I would say the first numbers you came up with are pretty good. Start there and monitor your progress.

Thanks Joe for help. Just wanted to make sure I was calculating my numbers correctly.

man i can not wait, i already got my meal plan setup and i have picking the right foods that i like as well as to what is really good for me so i can have an edge now, im taking the time i have now to prep and get ready so that way starting on Jan 4th , i will already have my plan in action :) i just have one question, do i have to take my first pic with my shirt off, cause im a little nervous cause i dont feel confindent yet? thanks guys and totally looking forward to having fun with everybody here we can do this!

The front image has to be taken in bathing wear or similar. if you feel completey uncomfortable, you can at least try to wear some shorts and lift your shirt to show your stomach area and make sure your arms are visible. The front shot also needs to contain a newspaper with the date visible.

Additionally there needs to be one shot from the side and one from the back.

This is in order to see if any progress is made (otherwise it would be easiy to just 'claim' it had been done, as well as to get a fair view on how much progress was achieved (which is important to look out for the winners)

:)

You should have received an email that explains exactly what pictures have to be taken and how, check your email account again.
In case you can notz find it here are all the exact contest rules again :

If you look at your profile, scroll down below your information, there is a "Contest" tab on the right. Click on that and there is a full calendar of the scheduled workouts. Today was a rest day, tomorrow is the "Push A" routine.

@scott_herman Hey Scott I am having a problem with calculating my body fat % since the challenge started, I ordered a Body Composition Monitor from amazon http://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B00CI4LI3O?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 ,, check out this link. (The Skulpt don't have delivery in India)

Now the problem is before the challenge I was calculating it online http://www.calculator.net/body-fat-calculator.html by putting my measurements. now it's showing my BF % 15.6, but today when I checked it with the Body Composition Monitor it was showing 24% BF, however my Skeletal muscle mass % was 35.

so I am really confused right now because I think that I don't look like having 24 % BF and is the online calculator is correct??

You are correct. In your profile, click on the contest tab and scroll down and you will see three calanders. Just select the 1st month and it will show the workouts and when.
