What is the best diet for losing fat and how many calories should I be eating?
Your diet should be high in protein for leanness and low in carbohydrates to avoid storing leftover energy as fat.
Eat NO MORE than 1g of carbohydrates per pound of body weight, and eat AT LEAST 1.5g protein per pound of body weight.
Be sure to eat a good amount of monounsaturated FATS too.
Avoid added sugar.
When striving ONLY for fat loss, eat in a caloric deficit of 250-500 calories BELOW your maintenance number.
This will change if you are aiming for FAT LOSS AND MUSCLE GAIN.
