Does it matter what time I eat certain types of food?

By Scott Herman in Nutrition · Published

Generally, it doesn't matter when you eat food. The most important thing is to eat ENOUGH.

The most important times of the day to focus on eating specific foods is in the morning, PRE-WORKOUT and POST-WORKOUT.

Aim to eat a protein-based meal at breakfast to get your protein-intake on the right track. This is especially important for those looking to LOSE WEIGHT.

Get the majority of your carbs in BEFORE you workout. This gives you plenty of energy to perform at your peak in the gym.

Avoid sugary and starchy carbs late at night, especially before bed. You will not use much energy sleeping, meaning those calories will likely be stored as fat.
