What should I eat post-workout and how soon should I eat post-workout?

A post-workout meal should also be based on carbs and protein.

Most importantly, try to get a good amount of protein (25g-50g) in almost immediately following your workout. The easiest form is a PROTEIN SHAKE.

Try to down a shake between 15 minute-30 minutes after your workout, to start repairing the muscles.

About an hour after your workout, have a proper meal, which includes more PROTEIN, as well as some fast-acting CARBS such as fruit juice or a banana.
