Time is not kind on the body and after many year I have come to realise that I should have done this years ago. Around December 2012 I put on 3 stone in 3 months I knew there was something very wrong, of course i visited the doctors who after many test said " We can't find a thing all your tests have come back normal" (shocker). After 6 months of this I could not wait for them and have decided to sort my own body out. My first job is to drop this weight I have put on, and take it further if my body would allow. You see I suffered from a problem I had to be careful on my energy expenditure otherwise I suffered from serious shakes and all over body weakness, I thought I may be a diabetic but all the tests came back normal and my thyroid was also normal. So I embarked on my quest, gathering information trying to put it all to use. It was hard ! After talking to a friend who was into weight lifting who suggested that I should get on the protein shakes, thinking what the hell I gave it a go. Wow. Suddenly I had energy a lot more than I had before, the shakes that I was suffering from seem to be under control. So I thought let's see how far I could push it, 30 mins walking on the treadmill slowly became 30 mins running. My over active sweating that I had has now become normal. My pace increased 5 km became 7 then 8 then 10km on the machine. But then OWWWW ankles gave up, laying me up, more research later I discovered that I have no arches in my feet. Bit the bullet spent some cash and got some trainers designed for this and now I can run again. Success. While checking out YouTube one night I discovered Scott Herman fitness channel and in the space of a month I have learnt more that in the 12 months before. His ethos in teaching was just the motivation I needed. Thanks. Let the hurt begin. I now feel that my goals are not impossible and I can achieve what I set out to do. Come on 2014 - your mine bi*ch.
