If you're like most people, you don't have a lot of time to prepare a quality breakfast and eat it early in the morning before going to work. My schedule is constantly changing and I usually have to drive a good distance (40-50mins) so I wanted to be able to take full advantage of the time I have. So I started making a smoothie in the morning so I can drink it on my drive and don't have to spend the extra time in the morning preparing a meal, eating, and cleaning up.
You want to consume a lot of your carbohydrates during your first meal so this is high in simple and complex carbs so you can have the energy for your day.

Cooking Instructions
Ingredients:
15 fl oz. Gatorade
1 cup of Old Fashioned Oats
2 scoops of Whey Protein
1 whole banana
1 ice cube
Directions:
Pour some of the Gatorade in a blender to start so everything doesn't stick to the bottom.
Put two scoops of Whey Protein, 1 cup of Old Fashioned Oats, 1 ice cube, half of the banana (eat the other half), and pour the rest of the Gatorade on top.
Blend thoroughly so it becomes a liquid and pour into the container you want to drink it from.
Enjoy!
NOTES:
You can customize it to your taste preferences by choosing the flavor of Gatorade you like most.
I prefer a banana because of it being high in Potassium and it's also dense in calories.
Another good alternative would be an apple because of its natural sugars to help wake you up in the morning.

Sounds good @jeffkline! Definitely works for you! I do the same but haven't tried Gatorade yet. I like to add frozen cranberries, frozen blueberries, 1-tsp coconut oil and a half-serving of almonds.
haha sounds like things happen for a reason @jeffkline!
Honestly the only reason I tried it for the first time is because I ran out of juice haha but I figured the added electrolytes, sugars, and calories couldn't hurt before my workout right after I drink my smoothie
yeah adding gatorade sounds very interesting!!!
Sounds good @jeffkline!
High in carbs, but that might be good for some people looking to load up with energy in the morning!
