Hey guys. Whats up?
So, next week I m starting a mini-cut with the objective to lose 5-10 pounds in 4 weeks. This is the 10th month of my clean bulking but I added some fat and I would like to get rid of it. The mini-cut will take place from 1-31 December and I already started Intermittent Fasting. 16h fasting 8 hours eating. Towards the end of the cut I will alter it to 20h fasting 4 hours eating. I really want to try it because it has helped so many people!

Anyway my question is about training style.
I m thinking about doing the following :

- Keep doing the same hypertrophy workouts I m currently doing, heavy weights, high volume, around 45 minutes but not flirt too much with failure
- Immediately after, 10-15 minutes of moderate to hard elliptical machine cardio to raise my pulse to 150-160.
- Immediately after, 20-25 minutes of the following circuit : Pullups, Dips, Walking Lunges, Pushups.

Do you think this will help burn the necessary calories for me to lose weight without losing muscle?

I will be on a 400-500 calorie deficit every day, and as I said my objective is 5-10 pounds fat loss, so about 20.000 to 30.000 calories.

Kostas, I think this volume may actually cause you to lose muscle aswell. If I were you I would get in a calorie deficit, change it up to low carb, high protein and moderate to high fat and then probably only do one of the "cardio" aspects after your resistance training. Personally I would stick to an interval style cardio training, my favourite being sprints as studies show that this actually raises the bodies fat burning ability due to the increase in EPOC whilst retaining muscle. Remember to consume a lot of BCAAs during and post training as this will also help retain muscle.

The way I have been doing it is more like a 250-500 calorie deficit and stick to HIGH protein.

Also, I do cardio maybe 2 - 3 times a week. but I am circuit training inbetween my muscle gain splits.

The circuit training has defintiely helped me stay functional and burn the extra calories needed to stay lean.

Yeah if you stick to the curcuits, cardio and deficit you are likely to lose some weight. However I belive in the things that take time, i am a traditionalist like that. My last bulk for instance lasted 1 year.
