More details needed! However abs are just a muscle group and they are going to be there regardless so you most certainly can!
I don't see why not @workoutkissfan. The scar will be on your skin, nut your muscle tissue. Depending on where the scar is, it might even make it look like you have more abs! haha.

Matthew,
Abs being visible is a function of low body fat. Scars have nothing to do with muscle tissue or body fat but rather are your skin's way of healing cuts that go thru all 5 layers of skin. The only issue will be where the scar is and how big in relation to how it affects the appearance of your abs once your body fat is low enough to see them.

As it was already said, the bigger question actually is "what exactly was cut though insides of your body", not so much if there is a scar on the skin or not, as the latter does not have any effect on the muscles.
If the surgery required to cut right through the abs or a part of it (which they mostly avoid by moving them to the sides and going through areas around the muscle strings to which ever part needs the surgery) then this of course could have an impact. Depending on how much damage was done to the muscle, and how good it was taken care of, and how big the scar tissue in the muscle is.
In order to find out if that was the case, and the muscle being cut, you'll have to ask in the hospital or the doctor personally who did the surgery.
You might need to train differently. So you do not to cause more harm or too early stress to the injured muscle. (http://www.livestrong.com/article/530612-how-to-rebuild-muscles-after-an-abdominal-surgery/ )
People have recovered even from biceps surgery, with propper training and paying attention to the special needs and changes you have to do to your training after such a thing. For the best also here have a talk with the doctor to find out how you might need to adjust your training.
But generally yes, muscle can rebuild, and muscle can build stzronger still also around scar tissue. It might be painful and require special attention and treatment but it's possible.
I didn't search long but found a picture from a female bodybuilder who got her abs back in shape after a pretty big abdominal surgery. And you asked for a pic so here you go: http://images.t-nation.com/forum_images/5/9/591a2-abscloseup.jpg
thanks guys the scar is across my lower abs near the belly button and it would kinda look like 7 pack abs
7 Pack abs...nice...make all the other guys in your gym jelly!
If you want some help sorting out your meal plan to help you get abs, you can post in the diet & nutrition forum too! :)

thanks jordan yeah it would make people jealous but i dont have a 7 pack yet would how would the scar look
Well we won't know until you post a pic and we see the results!
Was it from a sugery? I ask because usually when a surgery is performed they will operate in such a way to not disturb how the abs will look. Like if they can cut "along the line" of your abs instead of directly on them, they will.
What is the scar from?
np scott thanks for being a fitness inspiration to me
yes it was form a surgery fomr along time ago and what do u mean along the line
and the scar was from the sugery its very visible
i think he meant normally - when possible - they will try to cut along the lines, meaning: either vertically in the middle between the abs, or horizontally sidewards of the ab muscle strings.
Seems in your case - as you described it - that was not possible, so the cut is a bit over them. =)
o ok they cut horizontally above the navel and the cuts over my abs is that good or bad
ill post a pic maybe its hard to explain
ill post a pic maybe its hard to explain
Yeah a pic would make it easier...it sounds like it might be another line separate to your abdominal 'cuts', if you know what I mean.
ok ill do that and what does abdominal cuts mean
