Hey Nation...

Need some advice once again...

Im starting a deload week tomorrow, Ive hit a hard full body workout today, just for good measure. what Im wondering is... do i keep eating at a 300-500 calorie surplus above maitenance as I do while on my normal workout schedual or should I adjust some macros down for the deload week. Any other advice would be extremley helpful..

Keep In mind my goal is to gain Muscle Mass. I assume I would need to eat at a surplus to supprt the muscle growth during the deload week... But Im unsure,

Thanx in advance,

My advice would be eating 150-200 calorie surplus.Decrease the carbs while protein and fats remain the same.

Hey man.

When you deload, the idea is to give the muscles and your CNS a bit of rest, to avoid over-taxing it. It's also to ensure your muscles keep growing. To do that, you should keep eating the same as you would during a normal training week.

I agree 100% with Jordan . Keep eating on your schedule like you normally would to make sure that your body is given enough fuel and rest to recover from those taxing workouts !

I remember when we approached our rowing coach about deloading. He laughed and told us we deload every night for 8 hours in our beds. F'in comedian, eh!? haha.

I agree with Jordan as well. No need to change anything Macro wise. As for deloading doing everything the same at 50% or just taking some time off from it all(My preference) will do wonders.

I have been training coming up on 6 years and have made some great gainz. I've done a lot of trial and error on myself as well as learned from others and through research online. I've come along way in strength and size since I've started. I will continue to learn and make myself better each day. MS Athlete/Super Hermanite BEING CHALLENGED IN LIFE IS INEVITABLE, BEING DEFEATED IS OPTIONAL.

He should quit his job as a rowing coach and take up stand up comedy
