my diet is kinda ok the only ''dirty'' thing i consume is this one,and im addicted to this
i want you to make a list with pros + cons about it and last question,is it possible for someone who's trying to be lean to fit this into his macros?
thanks in advance
I used to drink a lot of AMP.. basically the same thing.
As soon as I stopped, I noticed I was able to lean out a bit more. These products just contain so much sugar and the time you spend drinking them you could be drinking water.
Also, this is not a "pre-workout" drink and I feel like a lot of people treat it as such. The same as red bull... this junk will dehydrate you.
I would have it VERY sparringly. Not worth it in my opinion.

I am in agreement with @Scott_Herman on this for sure. A guy at work uses it to kick start himself in the mornings. A couple of hours later he crashes out and needs another.
if your after a preworkout I can recommend BSN N.O EXPODE, I get no bad side effects from using it.

George,
I agree with everyone on this. These "drinks" are TRASH. The key main ingredients are sugar and caffeine. Some throw in exotic herbs and other questionable chemicals for good measure and distinction :-) It is not the drink you are addicted to but rather the quick sugar rush and resulting insulin spike. Look at the label. It has 2 servings per can not one so you need to multiply everything on the label by 2 not 1. Therefore it has 200 calories not 100 and 27g x 2 = 54g of sugar! Research has already shown that sugar affects the same areas in the brain as heroin, cocaine, and nicotine. On top of this, youths today are guinea pigs in the "energy drink and alcohol" experiment - Red Bull and Vodka (or any energy drink for that matter with alcohol) damages the liver in a way similar to what acetaminophen (Tylenol) does when taken after or with alcohol. The research is there but kids feel invincible so they ignore it :-)
My advice is ditch these trash drinks and get your caffeine from green tea or black coffee and re-program your brain to run on a steady energy flow from complex carbs. Constantly dumping simple sugar in your body and the resulting insulin spike will INCREASE bodyfat storage not make you leaner.

Fun fact: I actually have more energy now I drink ZERO energydrinks + I sleep better as well. I used to drink 2 energydrinks a day :-/
Also fun: if you slowly decrease your soda intake until you only drink black coffee, tea, and water it makes a HUGE difference in terms of "inner peace". By that I mean: your thoughts will feel much less clouded, nervous, restless, etc. Hard to explain but it's true. I stopped drinking everything with sugar in it a year ago and it has made me happier, lose weight, and realize how bad it was for my body (teeth!).

A lot of fitness channels on YouTube are drinking all kinds of energy drinks, and I will admit that it made me want to try them. I don't know if they are sponsored or not, but I see it everywhere.
I consume caffeine at certain points during the day. Before the gym, before class, before homework... NOT 3 TIMES PER DAY, but when I need it I consume it- either in pill form (200mg) or a cup of coffee (small is roughly 2-300mg). Timing and limiting your caffeine intake is important! Do not become dependant on it's effects.
Obviously caffeine at night time is a bad idea if you are trying to sleep. BUT if you need a boost, try getting it from a tea because the amount of caffeine will be significantly lower than coffee or energy drinks.
My trick to sleep Chammomile Tea with some honey. <<<<TRY THIS
Hope I helped!

I agree with everyone here... still, the best overall that will fit our macros is WATER. Water with Whey protein or natural fruits is much better

A lot of people use it as preworkout, which is just plain silly. It does not contain the same stimulants as a normal pre workout, it just has a lot of sugar and sweetners (with some caffeine). I drink red bull and battery or some other energy drink like everybody else, but I do not drink it very often. I treat it the way you should treat it, as a drink with tons of sugars, so if I drink it, I count it as a cheat meal.

With most things in bodybuilding/strength training, people go through a maturity process when it comes to pre-workout supplementation.
They start off with your typical Monster/AMP/Redbull and that gets expensive really fast. Then you look into brand name pre-workouts but as your knowledge increases you realize it contains the right stuff but usually only 25% of effective amounts. The next step is realizing you need to make your own pre-workout. Depending on your goals, this isn't necessarily cheaper but you finally experience what a properly dosed pre-workout can do for you.
Many people swear pre-workouts are useless. They've never tried a pre-workout with the proper amount of key ingredients so you can't really fault them for making that statement.
Here's the recipe for my pre-workout. It's a bit of a hybrid formula that serves me well for rowing (endurance, workouts on water are often 2 hours), and intense lifting with short rest periods. Since I cycle it, I can certainly vouch that there is a distinct difference when I don't take it.
Just a warning, this stuff is extremely sour tasting due to the citrulline malate. It gets easier to stomach after a week though. Also, DO NOT START WITH THE AMOUNTS LISTED HERE. If you take 3g of beta alanine right off the bat, you're gonna want to scratch your face off :)
