I have to admit I am not a huge fan of these types of articles. I like the fact that there is a great focus on health in today's society. But I think that by commenting to much on how people look it can easily create an unhealthy body image (which is already present in modern times)

Yeah, fair point. There's far more to this than body image.
I guess my concern comes from what this 'typical' Australian male means to our universal health care budget as, in the future, chronic diseases due to inactivity and overeating will require expensive medical treatment. That treatment comes at a cost that the taxpayer here will have to cover eventually. I can't help but feel that someone investing $100 in a pair of shoes that helps get them off the couch and moving for sometime everyay will reduce the amount of money needed to treat many avoidable diseases later in life.

Agreed, it is important to focus on the negative aspects of the typical population at the same time as having to much focus on it is flat out bad.

Well Phil, this study shows that there is a social cost to perceived attractiveness depending on the country. I wonder what the ancient Spartans of Greece would've thought of this study :-)

Eating Eucalyptus is like smoking opium for these bears, it has a euphoric effect on them.......plus they move as slow as molasses going uphill :-)

I actually heard about this on "60 Minutes" during an episode of how Italy's wealthy business people are paying to preserve the ancient treasures of Rome like the Coliseum since the Italian government is too much in debt and too corrupt to handle the job themselves :-)
Gatorade's roots as a electrolyte replenishing drink for the University of Florida Gators football team in the 70s is quite safe I think. The only issue sports drink manufacturers need to be concerned with is how much sugar they put in their drinks since consumers are more aware of the dangers of high sugar consumption now.

Man, I just read something similar to this but about the American man on my fb a bit back but I cannot find it. I recall it saying how the American man in the US is not only becoming mostly overweight but the average height is also shorter about 5'9" now. Anyway in your article if the women want a soft or femmanine looking man they can have them, the ones looking for the real men can find them here lol.
People seem to always find ways to justify in their head that not exercising and having an "Average" body is just as or more healthy than someone who trains hard.
Blows my mind.

Yep, you don't want to get on the wrong side of a koala. Once they're no longer stoned from eating gum leaves, they're not very friendly.
Maybe just like an Australian?
