Is there a difference between what protein and supplements women should take?

By Scott Herman in Fitness for Women · Published

Many products claim to be specific for males or females. Generally, there is no difference for the kind of protein you need to take as a woman.

Whey PROTEIN is a good source, unless you are allergic to milk products. Be aware that, just as with calories, you will probably need less than a male.

In terms of supplements, iron is always suggested to be taken by females because women lose blood in each of their menstrual cycles.

Other supplements to take will depend on your goal and the kind of training or activity you wish to engage in.

Before adding supplements to your diet, consider talking to your doctor and always make sure they are only to SUPPLEMENT your already in place meal plan.
