Is dropping/lowering the weight a bad thing?

By Scott Herman in General Questions · Published

Not at all.

If you are unable to complete all of your reps with a certain weight, reduce the weight enough to that you can finish your set.

It is better to hammer out all of your reps than to lift heavier weight with poor form and be unable to do, for example, 8 reps.

If you have to lower the weight, it is actually a good thing, as it means you are truly fatigued and have worked the muscle extremely hard to set yourself up for MUSCLE GAIN.
