Hello Hermanites! Please check out my video review on the different preworkouts I have tried. I had a lot of fun making this review video and most likely will make another based off other supplements I have taken. This video focuses on GAT Nitraflex, Cellucor C4, and Muscletech Neurocore.
What are some of your favorite pre-workouts? Let me know!

I have never taken pre workout before. Just drinking coffee in the morning is enough for me, even if I'm working out in the afternoon.

I've only every used two - BSN N.O. -Xplode and at the moment I am using BSN Hyper-FX!!
N.O.-Xplode would have to be my preferred one, but the Hyper-FX is great too.
These last two weeks are really the first time I have used pre-workouts, but I have to say, for me, they totally give me a noticable boost..not to mention they taste great too! haha :D

Coffee is great for caffiene, its a nice and quick stimulant. What you get from a preworkout is more than a quick jolt of energy. It is going to increase blood flow to help you build a pump in the gym. It is going to make your muscle retain more atp and let you do more during sets, and need less time to recover. It is going to help your muscle developement, and perfomrance. I am not trying to sell you on preworkout because I typically do not use it due to finnacial issues, but it is definetly a big step up from coffee if you'rw willing to try it. You can also make your own if you buy the right supplemtns which is what I had done, or buy the better brands of it. Cellucore is probably the best tasting with the best ingredients.

Kevin,
I use green tea and coconut oil. I also occassionally will juice a bunch of vegetables. I am not a fan of pre-workouts as I think they are more a mental crutch and if you are eating right and have trained your body to use energy efficiently you don't need them. Also, many pre-workouts have had to be pulled off the market due to containing banned or dangerous substances as supplements are not regulated nor monitored by the FDA. That is not to say there aren't good ones out there but rather it is a crap shoot and not worth the money or risk in my opinion. At the end of the day, most of them are just overpriced and overhyped caffeine drinks that provide none of the benefits on the label other than a "placebo" effect.

Yes, I agree here. No offense to Scott and his BSN stuff, but I am not personally a fan... There are some good pre-workouts that I have used that are made by very good companies who make other great hgih quality vitamins. But at the end of the day you have to decide for yourself why you are taking a pre-workout? Lack of energy? The pump? The tingling feeling? Most often it's for the surge of energy and neuronal firing we need, like waht caffeine does.
So, just drink caffeine then if that's what you need... However, if you are chronically fatigued all the time, you don't have a deficiency of pre-workouts. You have a deficiency in some area in cellular energy production - could be carnitine, could be B-vitamins, CoQ10... etc. Something that I am now giving to my clients is a product that is on my website. It's phospholipids and are designed to repair the cell membranes and mitochondrial membranes from the daily assault we face that is inevitable. A dozen studies have been done on it and it reduces fatigue in people who have acute and chronic fatigue. It really is a remarkable product. I take it before the gym and I even experience a noticable clear focus and concentration mentallt within 30 mins. It is not out on the market yet really or if it is, mine is cheaper :)
For anyone interested, visit: engineeryourgenome.com/supplements It's called Patented Energy. I have a length article on this stuff with the evidence. I was hoping Scott would post it here!

I love GAT Nitraflex. I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine so what I like to do is take 1/4 to half a scoop of Nitraflex and it works perfectly. I also get to double the servings I get. Good stuff! C4 from cellucor is also very good.
