Hello everyone, so as many of you may know I have never in my entire life used supplements. However as I am now turning 18 and my body is taking more and more beating, because I work out harder and harder. I have decided it was time to find a high quality protein supplement that I can use as a post workout. The one that I have bought is Muscle tech: Nitro tech whey protein iso, which has an amazing 30 grams of protein pr serving. In addition to that it also has 3 grams of creatine in there as well as some taurine (which is said to be stronger than caffeine) and of course some more goodies. As you may have noticed by now, I know what I buy. I do deep research and make sure that what I buy has no illegal substances in it as well as the product it self being top quality.

The reason for creating this thread is not to show you guys what I have bought, but rather to discuss it. Do you have any opinions on this product ? Have you used it ? If so, what do you think about it ? If no, what are you using ?

Sounds like a pretty good product man!

Plenty of protein, and that creatine and taurine will be good for refuelling your muscles.

What sort of carb, sugar and fat levels does this have?

It has 2 g of carbs (of which 1 g is sugar) and 1 g of fat so it is a very consentrated protein isolate.

What type of supplements to you use ?

I'm using Zealea Whey Protein Concentrate, an NZ product.

It has 23.8g protein, 1.7g carbs (1.5g sugar) and 1.9g fat.

No creatine or anything though, just some BCAAs.

William,

All of the major supplement providers make quality supplements nowadays. It is really the esoteric brands and the less known ones you need to be leary of. As long as you took the time to do the research, you will be fine. I personally use all Optimum Nutrition products - ProComplex (egg and whey), Casein, and BCAA caps. I have used them for years and am quite happy with their quality and price. They are also one of the few supplement companies whose manufacturing plants follow US Pharmacopeia (USP) standards. USP is what the U.S. government enforces on all drug companies. Supplement companies are not required to follow USP. USP ensures quality of ingredients, manufacturing processes, and quality control. It is just another way of ensuring they are making quality stuff.
