I know most people here live a healthy lifestlye. I just want to know if you eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. I used to eat lots of fruits and vegetables but my life has changed a lot in the past month. I moved to my another house in another city. It's very difficult for me to eat fruits and vegetables because most of them don't last long and I really don't want to go to supermarket too often. Besides more fruits/vegetables means more prepping and cooking time.
Here's what I eat everyday: green peas, cauliflower, banana, green apple. I try to eat other fruits and vegetables here and there but not so often. Do I worry too much? I'm not worried about macronutrients. It's easy to get enough macros but I don't know if I get enough vitamins and minerals. I don't want to rely solely on multi-vitamins.

I don't give up.

I eat fruits and vegetables everyday - berries (blueberries/raspberries/blackberries, pomegranate) with my oatmeal and raw vegetables (green, red, yellow bell peppers, celery, cucumber, carrots, bock choi, cabbage, lots of green stuff my wife buys) with lunch and dinner.

I eat fruit and veg everyday....I have fresh fruit like grapefruit, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries. I also keep a couple of bags of frozen mixed berries in the freezer. Veg wise...plenty of green veg..spinach, kale, brocolli and peppers, aubergine, courgette plus plenty of salads.

I used to eat a lot like you before I moved here. I used to have a maid to buy and prep all of those foods. I'm really missing her right now.

I don't give up.

I never heard of aubergine and courgette then I googled them. Oh they're eggplant and zuccini.

Frozen berries seem like a good idea. gotta stock them up

This is how my meal looks like

I eat a ton of veggies. Not so many fruits but I do get my share. If ur worried about them going bad just buy frozen and u can prepare as needed. I eat them a lot so I always buy fresh. Lots of tomatos, cucumber, squash, zucchini, onion, peppers, lots of leafy veggies, man there's so many. Fruits I eat a lot of berries

Kick ass!!!

I hardly ever eat fruit as I don't deem them necessary in my diet. I do however, eat a lot of vegetables, in particular leafy green ones!

I hate zuccini and cucumber no matter how they're cooked! I just bought 3kgs of frozen strawberry today.

I don't give up.

Berries are quite expensive here in Thailand. Fortunately, frozen ones are more affordable. I also think about fruits that don't take long to peel such as orange, kiwi, etc.

I don't give up.

Do you take multivitamins? I seriously have no idea how much is enough in term of vitamins and minerals. It's not easy to measure/weigh them like protein/carb/fat. I used to have a quite serious nose bleed problem because of malnutrition. That's why I'm quite scared of eating less micronutients.

I don't give up.

The recommendations for X amount of fruits and vegetables a day are a way for the general public to focus on healthier non-processed sources of carbohydrates, more specifically, the focus is on making sure people get their required levels of micronutrients and fibre which processed carbohydrates dramatically lack.

Generally, it's 10-12 servings (1/2 cup of chipped fruit, 1 medum sized fruit or 1 cup of raw vegetables) per day. With a 5:1 veggie to fruit ratio. When you're cutting weight, this becomes more important as fruit is still sugar, but overall well being, fruit isn't a problem in moderation.

Nope, I used to but I just don't see the point anymore. There is honestly no need to weigh your vegetables out, unless they are starchy vegetables (basically everything that isn't green and leafy). Just try and get 2 portions of green vegetables in every meal and I promise you will be fine!
