Will ab/oblique exercises make me fat?

By Scott Herman in Weight Loss · Published

Although many people say this, it is not true.

People may avoid ab exercises, and in-particular OBLIQUE exercises, fearing their waistline will grow enormous.

Doing exercises to target your entire core, however, should be part of your weekly routine. They are extremely important if you want a rock solid and prominent mid-section.

Ab specific exercises are not USELESS. Don't simply rely on compound movements to build your abs.

What will make you fat is eating more CALORIES than you are burning, failing to exercise, and/or making poor food choices.

You may also suffer from a 'fat' stomach if you are on steroids.
