What sort of food can I eat as a vegetarian to still get lots of protein?

By Scott Herman in Nutrition · Published

There are many foods vegetarians can eat to ensure their protein intake is still high.

If you are a vegetarian who only avoids meat, then eat plenty of dairy foods. Eggs, Greek yoghurt and low fat cheese and milk are full of protein, and should be a staple in your diet.

If you are a vegetarian who avoids all animal products, try to stock up on beans in particular. Almost all types of beans are packed with protein, as well as much needed fibre for your diet.

Be sure to include nuts and seeds which can have somewhat significant amounts of protein, as well as things like legumes and quinoa.

Get a quality PROTEIN POWDER too if you are willing to eat whey, caesin or egg white.
