What is sucralose and should I be worried about sucralose in my protein?

By Scott Herman in Supplements · Published

Generally you should not be concerned about sucralose.

Sucralose is a non-nutritive sweetener made from sugar. It contains no calories.

Your body doesn't see sucralose as a CARBOHYDRATE, and it does not affect your insulin levels. Sucralose is a great substitute for sugar.

It is used to give numerous protein powders flavour. The amount of sucralose in PROTEIN POWDERS is minimal anyway, so don't be put off if you see it on the nutrition label.
