Are women more prone to injuries, and how long will it take to recover?

By Scott Herman in Fitness for Women · Published

Women are known to be a bit less sensitive to extended DOMS compared to men. This can still vary between woman.

Lighter frames and bone structure mean women are more prone to certain types of injuries such as structural/stress fractures in bones, especially near wrists and ankles.

If you plan to start lifting heavy weights, prepare your muscles to be ready to hold/pull/push this kind of load. Your bones might be easier harm under too much stress and weight.

Also, the BREASTS should be protected as much as possible, with the right kind of sportswear and underwear to prevent injuries from collisions and/or pressure.
