I've stayed relatively active in all my adulthood, with a few medical setbacks, the first of which was a battle with colon cancer, which left me atrophied and weak. The second was last year when I tore a rotator cuff in my dominant arm and also discovered that I am in jeopardy of doing the same in my other shoulder (surgery later this year to prevent that). After I recover from that surgery, I will begin Interferon treatments for Hepatitis, which is causing some liver fibrosis. I plan to train through it, but I am told that this can be as difficult to deal with as chemo, so I'm keeping a positive mental attitude and will drive as hard as I can though it. It will be a long 18 months.
