Used to be very active w outdoor sports living in Rockies, skiing, hiking, biking, etc. but got more sedentary w move back to Midwest last couple years. Had a checkup 14 months ago with shocking results and was a wake-up call for me to get into a fitness center for first time. Had grown to 40" belly and weighed 215 lbs. Higher blood pressure and triglyceride count way up, too. I didn't want to go at this re-birth casually, so employed a PT and kicked my but back in shape. Significantly altered my diet and shed 30 lbs. and waist down to wear size 30 again! My BMI is a healthy 21 and my trainer is proud to claim I've got the body of a 30-something" - pretty good for a 53 yr. old guy, right? Now, I'm training on my own to save some $$ but looking forward to SHF to help me maintain muscle growth.
