In celebration of Passover (Pesach), which is March 25-April 2, 2013, I decided to make a healthy version of this traditional Jewish staple: a bagel with lox and cream cheese (a.k.a "The Jew Burger"). My healthy version of this fat-storing delicacy is Smoked Salmon Pâté with Low Carb Crackers.
This dairy free pâté recipe is EASY: you only need 4 ingredients and 4 minutes to make it! Plus, it's Low Carb! Perfect for diabetics or anyone following a Low Carbohatred Diet!

Cooking Instructions
Ingredients:
1 TBSP Toffuti Vegan Cream Cheese. If you prefer to use a non-soy option that is also dairy free, then use Daiya Dairy Free Cream Cheese Spread or even guacamole. If you do not have an allergy to dairy, then feel free to use light cream cheese or low fat cottage cheese.
3 oz Smoked Salmon
1/2 TBSP lemon juice
Dill (fresh is ideal). I only had Dill Weed in my pantry, which still got the job done.
2 GG Bran Scandinavian Crispbreads
Directions:
Combine and purée the first four ingredients in a food processor.
Spread the pâté over 2 GG Bran Scandinavian Crispbreads.
Enjoy!
NOTE: This crispbread is from Norway, and is prepared from 85% unprocessed bran, with rye flour and water. When you eat GG Scandinavian Bran Crispbread, it quickly absorbs more moisture and satisfies your appetite. It boasts the lowest in calories (12 calories a slice) and net carbs (2 g per slice) of any bread product on the market. Remember it is NOT gluten free!
