Powerlifter in late 70's and 80's. Have a few herniated discs and had rotator cuff surgery in Dec. Have been working out as best I can since I am limited as to what and how many exercises I can do. I would like to get my weight down to 220 shaving off fat while keeping and maybe gaining some muscle back after the surgery. Not sure what my bodyfat % is but I am sure it's high. I have lifted since I was 12. When competing I did a BP of 480 without the bench shirts and all that, squatted 650. I'd like to keep working out and lifting wthout getting injured, etc. Calorie intake is about 2250 maybe. I can't deadlift or anything like it, at least not with any real weight. I have done power cleans with 105 doing a crossfit type workout(cleans, thrusters, bent over row and presses all one after the other). This was before my shoulder surgery. PT told me NO overhead movements, I can't do squats so I do one legged squats sometimes supersetted with sissy squats or lunges. I can bent over rows with a light with weight or dumbell rows with a heavy weight. I will probably be going to a gym since I will be able to do more exercises there.
