    Increase Your Vertical and Explosiveness

    Hey guys, check out this leg routine I did the other day when my gym was closed. I used to do a lot of plyometrics when I did basketball, and despite being scrawny, short, and weak, I had a stand-still vertical of almost 30 inches. Try this routine out and let me know what you think.

     

    3-4 rounds. 30 second rest in between each exercise. 60-90 second rest each round.

     

    Triple Jump x 5

    One-Legged box jumps x 10 each leg

    Walking Lunges x 8 each leg

    One-Legged squats or pistol squats (depending on strength) x 8 each leg

    I really like this and This will deff hit your legs but for a IMO, a you can't have an amazing leg workout without doing at least 2 of the following: Barbell squats, front squats, sumo deadlifts, dumbell lunges, leg press, etc. I would would deff do this as a circuit AFTER my leg workout

    I definitely prefer to use weights when training and I agree that if you really want to build muscle and strength you need them. This is more of a plyometric circuit to build explosiveness and it's a decent leg workout too. It also doesn't require any equipment so for somebody who doesn't belong to a gym, it's a pretty good option to try.
