Hi guys, I was just wondering what protein to buy to fill my ambitions. I want to lose fat and gain/maintain muscle, and I was wondering what the differences are, and what is better to take between BSN syntha 6, and BSN syntha 6 isolate? Cheers!

Hey chimak!
BSN SYNTHA-6 has more calories, carbs and fat than the ISOLATE version. But ISOLATE has about 3 more grams of protein per scoop.
It's hard to say what you NEED without knowing what you are currently eating.
Can you list for me your daily macros? (Protein, carbs, fat) in GRAMS. Also, what is your weight and bodyfat %?
To lose weight and maintain muscle, I am eating 2500 calories a day, Protein- 280g, Carbs- I'm cycling these so around 120g to 200g and Fat- 100g. My height is 6 foot 2, 210lbs, age 17 and bf% is 18%
If I were you then I would go with the SYNTHA-6 ISOLATE. That is what I am using and I am pretty much around the same macros as you #HTH
Just bought the syntha 6 isolate, hope it's good!
Don't worry, you wont have to hope! :)
Just had it today for the first time, best protein shake I've ever tasted!
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww yeahhhh!
SYNTHA 6 isolate is the best protein powder ever! I've been using this for more than 1 year.. nothing can beat the strawberry flavor of SYNTHA 6 isolate! ahahahha
Hey man, may I ask you somethin? As a basic rules... 1 lbs per 1g of protein right? meaning if your body weight is 140lbs you should only allowed to take 100-140g of protein a day? Sometimes I break this rules.. How bad it will be?
i have the strawberry flavour aswell! Its amazing! it's more 1.5lbs of protein per pound of bodyweight. I weigh around 200 to 210;bs, so i consume 280 to 300 grams of protein a day
I thought protein intake in grams should not exceed your body weight... Is that bad for our kidney?? too much protein intake??
It can only be bad for your kidneys if you have an excessive amount, so 1.5g of protein per pound of body weight isn't bad at all. If you are on a high protein diet, it takes longer for your liver to process your nutrients and break them down. That is why having at least 2.5 to 3 litres of water a day is very important when on a high protein diet, as water keeps your body hydrated and let's things like your liver and kidneys work better and efficiently :)
Spot on.
A high protein diet would have to be like REALLY HIGH.. like over 300-350 grams a day.
