Im 38 now and ive read that you need more protein the older you get. Is that correct? How much protein do i need per kg bodyweight?

@ThomasC52 It can be good to have more protein, yes. Depends how much you are already having. I tend to work with pounds - aim for at least 1g protein per pound of bodyweight as a general rule of thumb. If you're already getting that and want to increase it, try going to 1.2g - 1.5g protein per pound of lean bodyweight (generally this would be more for if you are cutting, but unless you have pre-existing kidney issues, I don't see a problem with going higher with your protein intake).
Ive also heard that 1g per pound of lean body mass is an acceptable option
@jcgadfly It can be! That would be a good starting point as a minimum in my opinion, give you plenty of room to bump it up if needed as well!
What do you think of Alan Aragon's idea for protein requirements for fat loss (1g per pound of body weight for the weight you want to get to)?
@jcgadfly Per pound of weight you want to get to? Seems low. I always suggest increasing protein intake a bit while cutting (1.2 - 1.5g per pound of lean body weight).
