Need help working around injuries.

I was in a car accident in October of 2017 and have been struggling to exercise around my injuries.

In October of last year I was in a serious car accident leaving me with multiple injuries, but the one causing me issues in my workouts is my left forearm and wrist. I had a radius and ulna compound fracture of my left forearm, also resulting in a lot of the muscle belly being torn out. I had plates inserted on both bones to help them heal, and the titanium plates will remain in my arm forever. The torn out muscle belly in the middle of my forearm on the ulna bone's side has caused me to lose most use of my fingers on my left arm. This was fixed in March of this year(2018) through a tendon relocation opperation where they split my flexor carpi radialis tendon and connected it to my fingers over my forearm to replace the now not working extensor tendons. The tendon that was split for extension use, normaly used for flexion.

Due to this opperation I can no longer do exercises like bicep curls with any substantial wheight (anything more than 5Kg) due to my wrist bending down to the floor and causing serious pain felt throughout my entire forearm. Exercises like pullups have also become very difficult due to my fingers not having the same flexion strength and weak grip overall (my left hand grip is close to 15 kg weaker than my right hand). I'm also scared to do any heavy bench press or even to try and get back into fighting (MMA) since I am worried that my arm might break easier now(?). The extensor tendons are also very tight and don't feel like they've loosen up at all, could I snap a tendon if I threw a punch with my arm now?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as it's been a year since the accident and I just don't feel like I've made much progress in my arm returning to normal.

@MuayThaiFreeman Sorry to hear about the accident and struggles since then with your arm my friend.

Have you spoken to your surgeon/s about this? Because honestly, they would probably have a better idea. I have never had any kind of operation like that, and I don't know how strong the tendons would now be. I don't know what kind of force you could put through your arm without causing further damage.

You do hear that a bone grows back stronger after a break, but if you literally have plates in there and no more muscle belly, that's possibly not the case. So I would check with your surgeon about what kind of pressure/force you can put through it. You definitely want to er on the side of caution, so that you don't re-injure anything or break anything again.
