Hey Scott, I was looking at your 5 day bodybuilding split and was thinking of trying it out but I saw that unlike your PPL program the split exclusively deals in low weight and high reps (burns sets). I was wondering if there was any reason for this and will I still be able to build strength and gain all the benefits of lifting heavy by following this program? (more testesterone and all that)

@fribz the 5 Day BodyBuilding Split is PURELY focused on hypertrophy. That's why it's all super high volume with the burn sets and no strength training elements, because that wasn't a goal I made the program for.
However, that's not to say you won't get progressively stronger (because obviously that's always the aim, to add more weight with your exercises), it's just that you won't be focusing on it like you do in the PPL program with those compound movements first up.
And if you wanted to, you can make small modifications to the program. If you still want that strength training element AND the high volume burn sets, you could just substitute the first exercise in the 5 Day split with the first exercise from the PPL program. For example, instead of the flat dumbbell bench press during the Chest workout, do the flat barbell bench press with the reverse pyramid rep scheme. Then on the back day, add deadlifts and so on.
If you were feeling really energetic, just add the first compound movement to each workout without taking anything out - that would be hardcore!
