This documentary might be a little long to watch, but trust me it is worth it for those interested. My personal opinion on the matter is that this is truly unsettling. Here we see people being displayed as fat and miserable, then they have a surgery and now they are thin and miserable. This is all due to the fact that they lack knowledge about how to lose weight in a healhy and proper manner. Is this their fault ? Well, partly but not entirely. The boy who is mainly displayed here goes to the doctor and the doctor tells him that this is his only way out.... I could not help but using curse words in front of the computer. A doctor... saying that YOUR ONLY OPTION is to have surgery !? Obviously he is only saying that because it costs money and that benefits him more than the boy. (This surgery was free since it was funded, but the fact that he said what he said still makes it clear that the boy is not the only person he tells it to)

Furthermore it is SHOCKING to see people not even trying to lose weight normally. Like I mentioned a women in the documentary was fat and miserable, then she had a surgery and now she is thin and miserable. She now understands what the surgery actually did to her body and what HUGE impact that actually has on her daily life. She even admitted that she did not even try to lose weight.

I am not trying to blame any individual HOWEVER, there should be enough knowledge out there to make informed decisions. I hear people say all the time (people who are overweight): "You do not have to tell me how to lose weight, I already know"... Well do you really ?? Do you actually have the knoweldge needed in order to lose weight in a healthy and proper manner ? Is it because you are lazy that you are not able to execute your knoweldge ? I am not trying to sound like an idiot who does not understand that people with weight problems often have a deeper psychological problem. But I am actually seriously asking, how can you not think logically of the situation ?? Think about it, when you have the surgery you will have the effects of that surgery for the rest of your life. Never be able to eat normal again... Is it not worth it to suffer through diet and exercise for a few years and still have a normal stomach. This means you will still be able to enjoy all the good foods of life every once in a while. Whereas if you have surgery you can not ever enjoy any of those good burgers or ice creams.

What do you think of this subject ?

You make a good point. I think you are right, a lot of people just turn to the easy way out without looking at the negatives at that path. Clearly though this boy was to young to have the surgery, I think that there should at least be an age limit for this.
