I finally got my kit yesterday. I had a really good laugh at the fact that the kit was shipped from half-way around the World in the UK but the company that makes them is literally a 2 minute drive from my house, LOL!

What has been your experience with the report you got back? Did you make any significant changes after which you feel improved results?

I'm telling myself to take the results with a grain of salt. Don't want to be in a situation where i'm second guessing my approach to training and nutrition.

Yeah I had my results tested a while back and to be honest they just confirmed what I already knew. The one problem I had was with their reported training style which I should follow. The results concluded I respond well to volume and they advised I should keep volume high along with training frequency. Now to me this is very counter productive as when training frequency increases, volume must decrease to enable sufficient recovery between sessions. Apart from this one "issue" I would recommend the kit to anyone.

The tests are a little different now too @Daniel_Meyer

They just sent Erica and I the new "spit kit" so we can have some more genes tested. I am pretty excited!

Looking forward to seeing your results @CDNrower!! Keep me posted! #HTH

I had mine done back in October last year and as Daniel said it confirmed what I had already learned from my 30+ years lifting. I too am one who responds better to high volume training. I also recover very well from training and have a good testosterone response to it. For me, 4 days is enough per week of doing Push/Pull full body splits and total reps in the 430 - 500 rep range in 60 minutes for 4 muscles per workout. It sounds like a lot of volume in a short time but my body has adapted to supersets, drop sets, giant sets, burn sets, and rest intervals in the 30 second to 1 minute range and responded accordingly.

I am having the best workouts and I am the leanest and fittest I have been since my early 20's. I also eat a 100% strict, wholesome diet with no cheat days - no exceptions. The combination of a nutritious diet, 7-8 hours sleep each night, and the high intensity training has been doing wonders for me. The MuscleGenes test was worth the effort as it provides a guideline mapped to your genetic make-up that helps you tailor your eating and training for whatever your goals and whatever style of training you want whether you follow their recommendations to the letter or not :-)
