OOk from my other threads I fell off bike 8-11 and fractured my left radial neck. It was stable fracture. Anyways after I started using arm again my left shoulder was bothering me more than elbow. Asked dr and said bursitis and he gave me exercises to do. Ok been following that and it seemed better. (Do 3 sets of 12 for each exercise, internal and external rotation, cable rows (pulling arms and shoulder blade back with cable in each hand, basically standing cable presses, front raises. And anything else light to warm up shoulders. Before all workouts so been doing 3 times a week.)

This has helped however today after warming up for overhead presses (2 x 5 with bar, 1x5 55#, 1x3 65#, and then working set weight was 80#) 2nd rep I felt a movement in shoulder and instant pain in upper trap area going up into my neck. Turning my head I can feel from about shoulder blade all the way to base of skull. Shoulder feel different though, like it is sitting where it's supposed to where as last few weeks it didnt. But don't know still popping and still stiff.

Another thing notice when doing bicep curls my left shoulder wants to shrug. I've dropped weight and still can't keep it down. Strength has went up everywhere else so don't know. (Bench, squat deadlift) thanks hope someone has advice. Also should mention I do stretches 3-4 times a week couple times a day. For shoulders pecs, back etc...

Have you gone to see a massuse that works with Athletes?

I would be interested to see if they could really dig in and clear up some issues you might have.

This won't be a relaxing massage.... it will be a "fixing" massage, and will hurt like a b$tch. lol.

But then again... I like the pain so its relaxing to me

No I hadn't funny new gym has signs up everywhere about massage therapy. I'll have to check into it.

Yeah I can imagine it would hurt. Pressing on trigger spots trying to get muscle to relax (it's my left trap or left side of trap between shoulder blade and top of shoulder have at least 3 tender spots) hurts and I'm being gentle with baseball and wall.

Thanks for the reply Scott that is so cool.

Ok it must have been dislocated or something when I fell off bike because I've had issues with it since I started using it (left arm) After I healed up from fracture. Tonight was my weight night and I benched and when I retract my scapula now I can with NO pain! I had no problems tonight with shoulder it felt better than it has since i started lifting after injury, range of motion etc...

135 pounds x 5 for 3 sets then had to back off to 130 for last 2 (couldn't get my last rep though). Felt great benching without pain...

most people forget to retract scapula. IT's funny because when you are in pain.... it's much easier to remember to hold them back! haha or else it will hurt!

Yeah I've been trying my best to be in best form for everything. Figure now with lighter weight is time to start. I only did 135 on squat too 5x5, but I'm trying my best for below parallel depth with no butt wink. This makes lift lighter but better form. I'm leaving ego at door even though I feel whimpy.

It just felt good tonight was on top of the world and forgot about not being able to lift much yet.

Yeah Scott you do a lot for your channel and your website. You didn't get a big head as you grew more popular and I think that is really cool and makes your videos and everything you do that much better so thanks man. Fact you reply to threads says a lot about your character and it says you like helping as much as you do doing.
