No they shouldn't do. Fat burners contain mostly caffeine and other herbal extracts which aim to increase temperature (thermogenesis). I personally wouldn't advise fat burners unless you are sub 8% as they are quite a stress on the body.

not currently, but i have the 'skinny fat' problem! Read that CLA can target Fat Loss in the mid section so thought about investing in it but didn't want it to effect my gains!

Yeah I understand what you mean. Before investing in supps maybe think about changing up your macros? If you are looking to get some supps I recommend l-carnitine and CLA. I have taken both these before and have personally seen good results in terms of body composition.

If you still want to get a fat burner the only one I would recommend would be shredabull by anabolic designes.

When it comes to L-carnitine as supplement, it should be taken 2-3 grams daily for getting results from it. Also it should be taken with carbo (simple) meal or at least any meal, which have biggest carb ratio. L-carnitine is stored in muscles and must be stored like glycogen is.

Daniel, how did you take it, quantity?

I took about 6g a day in tablet form with omega 3 fish oils. As you said it is stored in the muscles which can enhance the fat burning process when taken with fish oils as it encourages the transport of fat into cells to be used as energy.

Have you ever taken it?

Yes, when I was young & stupid and train hard & dumb :)

I got unused tablets from friend, if I remember right with instruction 2 tablets 500mg before activity. Those were times when I train 20+ hours per week, pure endurance, so I didn't really notice any effect, since I burned tons of fats anyway.

Later I spent money on supplements which helped me more for my performance than carnitine.

Yes, I forgot to write, at least 2-3 grams. Often it is instructed to take 500mg or up to 1000mg. But often you have to find for yourself what is best for you so some experimenting doesn't escape also here.
