What is up nation !! So I have been trying to find out more about the soy issue for males. And I did not find a solid answer when it comes to soy sauce and if that has the same effect as soybeans. Would anyone be kind enough to clearify all of the types of soy products males should stay away from because of the estrogen ?

With soy sauce you need to be worried more about the salt content than the soy. Most soy sauces have over 1000 mg of salt per serving and even the "lite" variety have around 600 mg in one serving. A serving size is small too so it is very easy to get more than a day's supply of 2500 mg if you are not careful. As for the estrogen thing, soy sauce doesn't exhibit this potential because the quantity of soy is much lower than eating soy beans, tofu, or soy milk - just read the ingredients label.

I have a question to add on to this. "Soy Lecithin", it is in EVERYTHING, used as an emulsifier. Does anyone know anything about the stuff? Is it used in small enough amounts that it is insignificant? It just bothers me seeing "the S-word" every time I look at the nutrition facts on anything!

Welcome to the world of modern food, Gabe. Unless you buy unprocessed food, chemicals are going to be part of every equation. Soy lecithin is not going to cause the estrogen-like effects of daily consumption of soy. Food companies use many chemicals like food dyes and emulsifiers like soy lecithin to make our food look and taste better. Trans fats were invented to give food long shelf lives as normal fats go rancid over time. Low fat foods get pumped with sugar or salt because fat tastes good and removing or reducing it affects its flavor.
It is the price we pay for a world that wants fast, convenient, easy to eat and store food that looks and tastes good.

Some useful information you can find in the FAQ of examine.com. based on studies, they say: "When soy is used as a food product, there do not appear to be large reductions in testosterone for the most part"... take a look , that site is quite good!
