So to all fitness experts out there who are constantly researching the latest about nutrition, I wanted to know if the myth was true if soy milk is actually bad for guys. I heard that it decreases the testosterone levels. If anyone can clarify this for me, that'd be great.

PS. I know I am no expert. I'm just looking for the facts before I try something that may or may not be good for me.

This is true. I would avoid any soy product if I were you, especially soy protein. It decreases testosterone by increasing estrogen levels. There tons of reliable research on this :)

It is healthy/bad just the same as any other industry processed milk.

In normal quantities neither food is harmful.

Stories about like soldier with breast and kid born without sexual organs because of soy milk is...bullshit.

Kostas is correct. Soy contains plant sterols - like all plants. The sterol in soy is very similar in chemical structure to estrogen - the primary female hormone in humans. Everyone's biochemistry is different and men have different levels of testosterone and estrogen in their bodies with testosterone 10 times higher than women. Women produce testosterone as well but at levels 10 times less than men which is why they can't bulk up like men. Many people don't realize that the sex drive in both men and women is driven by testosterone. The issue with soy products is too much of it on a daily basis will cause an exogenous increase in estrogen levels in men's blood. Estrogen promotes body fat storage and slows muscle growth and protein synthesis. The bottom line is occasional consumption of soy products is fine. Daily consumption can interfere with your muscle and strength gain goals. This effect WILL happen but the extent is 100% dependent on your individual body chemistry.
