Hi Scott, so I have been following you for years as well as creators like Omar, Jeff Nippard, Eric Helms and also John Meadows. So I believe I have a good understanding in training and nutrition which can obviously improve and hope to improve over time.

So much question is around tracking macros in begginners to nutrition and meal planning, since friends and family ask me how can they lose weight or gain muscle, and I always come back to "Calories in vs Calories out" but I have noticed that a lot of people don't like the idea of tracking your macros every day.

The only thing I can think of is creating a meal schedule where you track for a week and then eat the same stuff trought your plan, that way you dont have to worry of tracking every day, which I can understand it may be exhausting for a lot of people.

But I also wanted to know what other strategies would you do to help this people with their diets, since you have a ton more of experience than I do in training and nutrition.

Thank you!!

@Jtv08 Hey Jose!

One super important thing is to be able to eat intuitively. And that doesn't just happen overnight, it usually comes from tracking for a little bit and, to an extent, practicing and learning about food.

Even I don't track every day, because like you say, a lot of people don't want to have to track every day, all the time. But through expereince I'm at the point and have been for a while, where I can guesstimate how many calories and protein and carbs and fat I'm getting from certain foods. So I can 'track' without tracking.

Just being smart about meal portion sizes too. It's those little things that allow people to still work towards their goals without being stuck in a tight tracking system day in, day out.

Hope that helps!
