Hey Scott,
Ive been tracking my macros using the mymacros+ app for a while and I noticed something concerning. I realized that many of the foods I’ve logged from the nutrition labels have calorie contents that don’t line up with the macros. When I add up the macros myself I’m 100 calories over where I thought I was. Since my weight has been going up at a steady level of about .5lbs per week I know I’m in roughly the right calorie range for my activity level, but it raises the question whether I’m actually getting the macros I think I am. In your experience, are the calories or macros listed on the nutrition labels more accurate? Because while my instinct is to trust the listed macros I’ve also read that the calories on the label are the more accurate choice because they remover calories from fiber and ingredients that aren’t actually digested.
Thanks,
Jarod
