So, I've mentioned it here and there, and thought I should dreg up some of the photos specifically related to DBZ. This first one is featuring just a roaming band of likeminded nerds I'd never met / don't know the names of. But they were chill and amusing for the short period of time we chatted.
I don't think I quite fill out what Majin Vegeta should be, but that's me =D
That APT tho.. -.-; super bad, though it does help me stand like an anime character XD

This is so cool man, love it!! It's kind of funny with Kylo Ren there in the middle of the DBZ gang haha. You've got them striations going on, Vegeta would be proud!

The story to the pic was he just wandered into it, to be honest XD
And thanks man.. lost a bit of that build unfortunately, getting back to it, but we had a scare year before last where my partner had a seizure and almost died.. so we all stopped working out and kinda focused on keeping tabs on her while figuring out and diagnosing what the actual problem was.
This is her, by the way.
(Sorry for the grainy photo, but she likes being a brat and took a selfie against my will)

Oh man that's not good at all! Must have been awful 😕 Glad she made it through though, good on you for keeping tabs on your partner. Hope you managed to diagnose the problem. Family comes first man! You both look great!

Yeah it was kinda ..bad... Turns out she has Acute Intermittent Porphyria, a rare condition that in the most simplistic terms I can think of is that her liver doesn't process at full capacity due to a lack of enzymes, it's also known as ' the vampires disease ' because she is essentially deficient in Heme, and in serious cases someone with Porphyria can be allergic to sunlight. Certain things make it worse, much worse [such as certain types of pain meds, not eating carbs etc., ]
But, we've found how to mitigate the symptoms, just means she has to work out harder due to having to eat more [the 'disease' as of right now is uncurable. However she's a rare specimen among even the already rare sufferers of this.] But theoretically there is a test beginning that they are welcoming her into, due to a genetic test proving an undeniable link to Porphyria thus proving it's trackable and spreadable in the genetic chain.

Fascinating and complicated really.
Wow that's crazy. You two must have to be really careful with your diet and activities then? Still, sounds like you are both making the best of a bad situation! Guess it's not a bad thing to have to eat more food haha.
Hopefully whatever tests they are doing at the moment prove successful too, and maybe she'll be the first or one of the first to have the cure!! 🙌

Wellll she's got that whole ' but the numbers on the scale say....!?!?! ' mentality that seems to be pretty popular amongst women. Though she knows her measurements are down from what they were before, logic doesn't always win, you know? XD
But yeah, given the rarity of what she has, I guess it's not that weird she's an anomaly even within that pool of test subjects, but with any luck maybe we can find a cure. Here's hoping!

Haha yeah. It can take some time to get away from being stuck in the mindset of judging progress by what the scale says. We all go through that battle at some point I think!
Fingers crossed for you two!!
