I weighed some chicken breast raw which came at around 300gms. Cooked in literally no oil (ok i used the spray oil which conisists of 5 sprays = 5 calories so used 5 sprays). Once its cooked it weighs around 200gms. 

So i enter both values to see what the difference is and there is quite a difference. Do you guys weigh your chicken cooked or raw? Im counting calories so ideally i want to be close to my daily amount.

Well since you eat it cooked I would assume that is what you are going to weigh.

All food should be weighed raw or pre-cooked. The change in weight due to cooking occurs when some of the moisture in meat is lost in cooking which does not affect the macro and calorie values of the meat.

it depends  read the package  ive bought raw chicken that said 110 calories 4 OZ  meaning raw  and then ive had chicken that says 110 calories 3oz COOKED.

 

basically its not a giant diffrence cause ive tested on more than 10 occations and as long as your cook it and dont overcook it you get about 3 oz chciken after the 4 oz have been cooked.  if you overcook it you get less because more comes out of the chicken

 

I would say always do raw for most accurate but if im pushing time cause i dont have much ill cook a giant batch of chicken and weigh out 6 oz cooked for a meal cause i know it was around 8 oz when raw.

But RAW weight always recommended so your not playing a guessing game.
