Morning!

 

ive some how managed to pick up an odd injury in the gym last night. I was doing unweighted dips and felt a popping sensation followed by a sharp pain under my left collar bone.

 

The area is quite sore this morning but not debilitating.

 

Just wondering anyone else has experienced this sort of injury?

What's up Matt?

A few of the anatomical structures in that area are the upper pec, the 1st and 2nd rib, and several ligaments. You could have strained your pec or some of the intercostal muscled between your ribs. You could have sprained a ligament but that is probably not likely. It's hard to definitively say but I would treat it like a muscle strain for now. Rest, ice, and avoid any activity that causes pain. If didn't get better in a couple days then see a doctor. Hope that helps.
