Has anyone else had experience with MAT - Muscle Activation Techniques? I've been going to an MAT specialist once a week for the past two months and am blown away at my improved performance in and out of the gym.
MAT addresses weak muscles. They are weak because the signal between the brain and the muscle isn't strong. MAT improves that signal, activating the muscle, and getting it to work at it's best.
Interesting enough, one of the things I've learned through MAT is that muscle tightness is a sign of a weak muscle somewhere else in your body. Before MAT I need to perform self massage with a lacrosse ball and Rumble Roller daily to relieve the muscle tightness in my glutes and thighs. I haven't needed to do that during the past month at all. I'm pretty blown away by the over all experience.
I recorded a recent session if you want to see some of what is involved...
