Lee Priest is hands down one of my top 5 picks in bodybuilding. Obviously he can not competee in IFBB because of his lifetime suspension. Nevertheless, he still looks amazing and back in the day when he was in his prime condition he looked perfect for the sport. He is a part of a youtube channel where he answers questions fans ask https://www.youtube.com/user/SamsFitnessComAu/videos. I think that there is a lot of good advice in there, so I highly recommend it !

There is just something about his old school 100% true to bodybuilding approach that really gets to me in a positive way. He looks more than good enough to do Mr. Olympia. Moreover his genetics is insane so it is impossible to dismiss him as one of the greatest, in my opinion.

What do you think about Lee Priest ? Any thoughts on his suspension ? Do you think he would have won Mr. Olympia with his top condition ?

William,

I saw pictures of him after he tore his bicep and then post surgery. He is lucky they were able to repair his arm such that he is almost back to looking like he did pre-injury. Guys like Lee remind me of old bodybuilders like Rich Gaspari. The shorter you are, the more muscle you can pack on and the thicker you look. I think he has great genetics and despite the lifetime bane he probably would finish in the top 3 of the Olympia. Unfortunately, the judges today want mass monsters a la Green, Heath, Cutler, and Coleman. I don't see Lee Priest as equal to them in my opinion total size wise. The only guy who could match them from the past is Dorian Yates when he was using massive amounts of GH and anabolics.

This is why I have extra respect for guys like Arnold, Lou Ferrigno, and Steve Reeves. These guys we all over 6'2" and packed on some impressive size both with and without drugs. Most of the mass freaks today are under 5'10".

Well this is very individual. I personally like Lee Priest more than Ronnie Coleman, not for sieze but for a great aesthetically pleasing physique. Personally, I think he looks a lot better than most bodybuilders today. I do not really like the big mass freaks that are on stage in this era. Arnold looks better than 100% of the bodybuilders on stage today, and Lee Priest is pretty close to that number as well. But I guess times have changed and monster freaks are taking over.

Haha, yeah I agree with him too. I do not mind crossfit at all, but when people have no idea what they are doing..... not good.

exactly the point yes :)

I like that he is not 'bashing' it. And the note of "as long as perople get their ass to the gym, it's a good thing' i see it the same way.

All sports have to be accepted for whatever they are as long as people enjoy doing them and it keeps them fit.

But if they just rip and jerk themselves into the early bone (and joint) yard... no good XD

Yeah, it is scary when you see some of these people who don't know what they are doing - and worse when the cross fit trainers also don't know proper form. I am waiting for the lawsuits after someone gets seriously hurt or paralyzed from too much weight and improper form.
