My shoulder blade is sticking out when I press my back, I don't know if it is normal or not but when I read some information online they said is an injuery but when I look at some bodybuilder they shoulder balde is also sticking out, I am really scare because if it is an injuery I think I have to undergo surgery so please if anyone can help I would be very thankful.

Do you have a pic you could post? I am by no means an injury expert or a doctor but in most cases if you injured your shoulder blade in such a way where it protruded there would be extreme pain and minimal movement of certain body parts. When you press or flex your shoulder blades will stick out and more so as you develop more muscle.

I have been training coming up on 6 years and have made some great gainz. I've done a lot of trial and error on myself as well as learned from others and through research online. I've come along way in strength and size since I've started. I will continue to learn and make myself better each day. Darren,

It is hard to comment without a picture. I can say from personal experience that my right shoulder and shoulder blade naturally sit a bit lower and forward compared to my left shoulder and shoulder blade. I can also say i experienced brachial neuritis back in 2003. This is when the brachial plexus (the bundle of nerves that control the muscles in your upper back, shoulder, and arm) is inflammed or damaged. I did it from a heavy squat where the weight compressed this area and damaged the nerves. It was the most excrutiating pain I ever felt and my right side upper back and shoulder were paralyzed for about 3 months. It then took about 5 years to get back to normal function again. While this was happening, I developed the typical "winged" scapula due to the paralysis of my upper back muscles. The muscles also atrophied so it took time for me ro rebuild them once I got movement back.

I highly doubt this is your situation and surgery does not help this condition. Only time will. Nerve grafting is only done if the nerves are too damaged to heal on their own. I think you just have one shoulder blade that protrudes more than the other and you just need to develop and strengthen the muscles in your upper back.

Darren,

That is 100% normal. You just need to build out and fill in your upper back and shoulder muscles. This will come in time as you lift and eat and rest :-)
