I think, I got it from chest flyes(machine) felt little pain while doing the exercise. I was using very low weight. And the next day I had this bruise. This happend 3 days ago. I can feel slightly pain from it(very little). Should I rest? What kind of bruise is it? Have tried to search the internet without success. I trained back today and arms. Used very light weight when doing dumbell curls. Felt little pain after I had done several reps, I stopped directly when I felt the pain. Like I said the pain is very little.

Pontus,

It is nothing serious. When you lift, your blood pressure increases accordingly. Sometimes when you strain or train a particular muscle hard, you can rupture the tiny capillaries under the skin. You could have also slightly torn the fascia (the sheath that surrounds all muscles) in your bicep. This appears as the bruise you see and it can be a little tender to the touch. Make sure you are getting plenty of Vitamin C in your diet and plenty of healthy fats as these support the intergrity of your vascular system and fascia. If you are consistently getting bruises and burst capillaries, then something is amiss with your diet and/or blood pressure and you need to get it checked out. I doubt this is your situation :-)
