I always listen to some heavy blues-rock during my workouts.

To be honest, I haven't really heard much of it, but I will be sure to give it a try !
I don't really listen to music when I do my lifts but I love to jam out before getting to the gym. I really like Black Label Society and Rob Zombie, they get me super pumped. Then I listen to a lot of Blink-182 when I do my cardio because Travis Barker has some amazing drum parts where he just goes nuts on certain drum parts so it makes me run faster!
I listen to Dragon Ball Z theme songs, Metallica, Iron Maiden and AC/DC while working out.

Someone mentioned DBZ, I listen to "SSJ3" when I want to lift HEAVY! I'm a more classic rocker...Kenny Loggins "Danger Zone" and "I'm Free" is pretty good too. I been on a harcore rap kick lately and been listening to Geto Boys "Die Mutherf!*er (Still)" and some Kendric Lamar stuff also. My lifting style has converted to more "ghetto" and has a lot more aggression to it I found, so the music really puts me in the mood. May not be for everyone though!
Don't need music, just need to be self motivated. I don't even pay attention to the music most of the time anyways. I find a workout partner to be the most motivating when I'm not really feeling it.

Yeah, a workout partner that wants you to be in the gym is a really motivating thing !
