About Me   

January of 2015 I was 252 pounds and strained a muscle doing something really simple. For me- that was a wake up call. I had let myself really go for too long and I tend to spend many hours at a desk every day. I first went on a low carb diet but by Spring 2016, I felt it was time to go back to something I'd not done for many years- weight lifting. My Dr. told me in early 2010 that I was done "lifting heavy," and I gave it up. I've been back with a vengeance since then and have dropped down to 213 and 13% BF (and still dropping). It's been a great ride, I feel as strong as I did in my 20's, but my joints and tendons do remind me I'm over 50. I struggle with nagging shoulder bursitis, but don't let it get in the way of my desire to be strong, slim, and meet my weight lifting goals. My advice to you is - compete with yourself, not anyone else in the gym. As a shout out to that wicked smahhttt Scott Hermann fella, he has taught me a great deal on you tube particularly about my MACROS, which is why I'm here. Hope to keep learning and keep building.
